enVision Hotel Worcester Downtown

Nope- don't stay. This location is not owned by IHG anymore, therefore, no quality control, no visible elevator inspections. Linens & room carpets & room walls are stained & disgusting, even found blood stains & hair in towels. No breakfast offered. We booked this location before it was sold to a private party but WERE NOT NOTIFIED of this, leaving us stuck at the time of check-in because close-by hotels are sold out. Had we known of the change of ownership, we should have immediately canceled. We had to stay on town for a family wedding. Shame on you IHG!

Booked a room a few months ago, pre-paid and guaranteed. Was really looking forward to this, and all other area rooms were booked. Arrived and was told they overbooked, my room was canceled, and i was out if luck. ... The point being, I had a room booked and paid for when there were still rooms available....some idiot double booked a room after i already had it reserved. Luckily I'm getting a refund, but it still ruined my plans, and since everything around was booked, I had to drive all the way back home at 11pm instead of staying. This should be a refund and a complimentary stay compensation for such a stupid over sight. How hard is it to look at a computer and think "oh, this room is already taken, so that means dont book it with someone else"

This location is absolutely horrible. There should be a disclaimer that this hotel is a subsidized homeless center / refuge before booking. The maintenance and upkeep of this hotel is also horrible. There is a difference between needing renovations and not keeping up with general maintenance. The bathroom was horrible kept, scratched wall paper that was peeling off, mold on the ceiling, rust in the shower tub floor, rust on the lighting fixtures, and cigarette burns on the bed comforter. Even outside the room there in the hallways, they’re are crumbs all over the floor. Would never stay here — this is the first hotel I flipped my mattress to check for bed bugs. This place is actually disgusting and absolutely doesn’t meet the quality standard of the Holiday Inn brand.

Because I travel often for work, I do stay in hotels often and have enjoyed the IHG hotels. Unfortunately my experience at the Worcester Holiday Inn Express didn't really compare to others I have stayed in. I guess what surprised me the most is that in the breakfast room, they have a kitchen attendant who is adamant that you are not allowed to touch any of the pans that have the eggs or breakfast meats. To the point where one morning I went down, there was no attendant around so I began serving myself as I have at every other IHG hotel and when she walked around the corner she started giving me an earful about it to the point where I just set my plate down and left the breakfast room. I get that they may have their procedures and the continental breakfast is just a small part of the stay, I just felt there was no reason for the attitude. Aside from that, the rooms are pretty good, and although they are dated and will probably get a renovation in a few years, they were clean. Throughout the day there are typically a lot of people hanging around and talking near the front entrance to the hotel, however, in the evening, it didn't pose any kind of noise nuisance when trying to sleep. Ultimately, this was my first visit to Worcester and I will be back in the future, however, I will most likely try a different hotel.

We booked a room about 5 months ago, and 5 days before our trip are just now being told they can't accommodate our visit. The manager was quite arrogant and unhelpful about the whole situation, basically saying it's out of his control and that there's other hotels in the area, although most are completely booked out obviously since it's less than 5 days away. Absolutely despicable

Stayed one night, very convenient to U Mass Medical Center. Room was clean, bed comfy...upholstered chairs were a bit frayed but no biggie. Made use of the large work desk and TV in the room. Took us a minute to figure out it also operates as a homeless shelter. Why were so many people wandering the hotel in their PJ's!! The clientele also made breakfast in the way too small 2nd floor breakfast room interesting! Staff is aggressive but in their defense some folks don't understand how to act in a buffet. Left to there own devices, they would take piles of food, grabbing without the use of utensils. I watched one young man take all the bread and all the jelly packets. I get that he likely needed it but if your going to mix homeless folks with folks paying for a hotel, with amenities tensions run high.

My paraplegic sister booked an ada accessible room 3 months ago and called to confirm the reservation 3 days prior. When she arrived they had no rooms available. This is how holiday Inn Express treats people with disabilities. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I have never experienced staff and customer service so rude as in this hotel! The first time I stayed here in March of this year, we had few hours to check in time and the woman at the front desk refused to find room to hold our suitcases. Her language, tone of voice and body language was extremely arrogant. The room was basic and OK. The second time my reservation, which was a part of a group hold for a major birthday celebration of a good friend, was CANCELED without any warning signs! Out of a blue I see a cancellation email in my email box. After almost 3 hours calling back and forth, I was told they are oversold, because of the group reservation. When I asked why wasn't I notified ahead of time, the answer was: we had a wrong number for you, it didn't work. However, they could not tell me the number because it git "erased". I have no record on my phone of any calls from this hotel. When I asked why didn't I get an email, the woman hissed at me on the phone: you will not talk over me and hanged up! At the end they blamed me for not giving them CC number to cover the reservation, even though I am an IHG Member and they have access to all my info. On top of it, they tell me the way I made the reservation (online, on their website, then called to confirm the exact room) they never heard of... I now see no record of stying there in March in my account and cannot leave a review at the hotel website, because they 'don't recognize my name'. I know the same thing happened to other friends coming for the same event. Atrocious customer service! Attitude & crass. Extremely Offensive!! Truly, I have never experienced anything like this. Do yourself a favor - find another place in town!

The location is good and that's about the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. My request for fresh linens during our check was denied after the front desk attendant stated, "the hotel was full last night so house keeping changed all the bed sheets.' I've stayed in many hotels including several Holiday Inn Expresses and I have never been denied a request for fresh linens. The box spring was exposed and old and the sofa chairs are also old with ripped upholstery. Our iron in the room didn't work and had to request for a replacement. There was water leaking from the ceiling of one of the elevators. In a nutshell, the hotel needs a facelift because many of the amenities are old and I'm glad we only stayed there for a night.

No hot water. Breakfast was 45 minutes later than what I was told but front desk and hot food was cold . Waited 20 minutes to checkout at front best in the morning and no one showed so dropped key in check out box by the door Would not recommend this to anyone.
