Meitetsu Inn Nagoya Nishiki

Affordable, friendly, and very satisfied with the breakfast and coffee service. Planning to stay here again next time.

This time, my favorite artist's live performance was being held at Kuroko-kun Hall, so I chose to stay in Nishiki, a bustling downtown area, even though it's a bit far from the venue. At night, there were so many people and cars, and I was surprised at how well-maintained the roads were compared to my hometown of Yokohama. However, at night, it's completely a bar district, and while not everyone is like that, there were quite a few unscrupulous touts, and I almost fell for one myself…😢 The taxi driver also said, "You chose a good hotel," and I'm grateful that I was able to stay at such a hotel on my first trip to Nagoya! As it's a business hotel, the scale was limited, but they had a breakfast buffet, and I enjoyed Nagoya's famous bread and red bean paste. I prefer chunky red bean paste, so it was delicious. I don't have any plans to come to Nagoya again, but if I do, I'll definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for your hospitality during my 3-night, 4-day stay in Room 316 from May 18th to May 21st. Thank you very much.

The hotel is near the station and surrounded by plenty of convenience stores and restaurants. Amenities such as skincare gel are available in the lobby. The meat and potato stew for breakfast was delicious. The room was clean, and I would like to use it again for business trips.

There are many bars around the hotel, and it's noisy until late at night, making it difficult to sleep. The short-haired female staff member who helped me check in was kind. The breakfast was free and had a wide variety of options, which was satisfying. The room was dimly lit, and the desk felt sticky and rough. The TV remote was broken, and some channels didn't respond when pressed. When I lifted the covers, there was a long hair on the sheets. The cleaning was incomplete, which was disappointing.

I used this hotel during Golden Week. It was inexpensive, so I think it was worth the price. The location is good, close to the station and easy access to the Nagoya area. The room was relatively clean and fine if you just need a place to sleep. However, my room was near the elevator, and I could hear conversations from the hallway directly, which disturbed my sleep both at night and in the morning. The bath towels smelled a little. Breakfast and drink service were included.

The hotel with the thinnest walls I've ever stayed in I stay in hotels more than 30 nights a year, but this was the first time I've ever heard so much noise from the surrounding area. I could hear the elevator hitting the floor, the footsteps of the people on the floor above, and even the sound of the person next door brushing their teeth. I was so depressed after just one night that I switched to another hotel. I absolutely do not recommend it.

The nearest station is Hisaya-Odori Station, but it's also within easy walking distance from Sakae Station. There's a Daily Yamazaki convenience store very close by. A drink service is available from 12:00 to 21:00, offering coffee, cocoa, and soup. Although soft drinks were mentioned in the hotel guide, they weren't available. Breakfast consisted of two types of salad, five side dishes, three types of bread, and curry. The apple juice seemed very watered down.
