Parkside Hotel & Apartments

Love the location, rooms are a nice size, beds are comfortable. $35 a night for secure parking. However.. no aircon.. it's hot and stuffy, and too noisy to sleep with windows open.. Would have liked to have been informed BEFORE, I arrived for an intensive 2 days of hard labour. The price difference between this hotel and the other I was choosing between.. was $25 for the two nights. I booked 2 rooms, for 2 nights.. the $50 extra for aircon, would have been my preferred choice. Besides the no aircon on a hot stuffy night.. the hotel is good.. quite, and comfortable.

Decent room but the service is lacking. Add extra time to wait in the lobby to get your Bond back after checking out. Only 45min longer 😂😑

Our (very expensive) room looked old fashioned - I guess in the 90s it was modern. Stains on the wall included. AC did not work. WIFI connection is only possible, if you give them your email adress or telephone number. At least it was clean and the concierge was nice and professional. But for that price, I could have gotten a room at the Hilton.

We cannot agree with most of the recent bad reviews. For sure the aircon doesn’t work right know, which can be annoying with 30 degrees, we haven’t had any issue with 25. And they do take a deposit at the check-in which you will get returned after check-out. But for the price value I wouldn’t complain: 1. It’s a really good positioned hotel: 1 min from Queens st. A couple of min. From Newmarket 2. Very quiet with the balconies facing the park 3. It isn’t the newest hotels but: the bed is really comfortable. The rooms have balconies! The shower is a whirlpool and they have a hottob and swimming area outside. 4. The service is excellent and the rooms are very clean I would appreciate it if the duvet would be properly inside a sheet and not on top of one without a cover. And having a toilet brush inside the bathroom. Very European of me maybe. But it does have its advantages ;)

there. were. ants. ANTS. EVERYWHERE. MY BED, MY DESK, THE KITCHEN, THE BATHROOM AND INSIDE MY SUITCASE. do NOT come to this hotel unless you want dirty showers, dirty desks and GROSS dishes.

No Aircon working

This place is alright. Once you get past the surprise $200 bond this place isn't terrible. The parking lot could use some new paint for the numbers but otherwise its secure and easy to use. The elevator, hallway and parking lot do get very warm very quickly. We were warned prior to booking that the AC was down as well as on arrival. The room was a little warm but easily remedied by opening the balcony door. Only other issue was you had to hold the flusher down on the toilet and it often sounded like someone had left a shower on somewhere in the hotel. Nothing major.

Stayed for five nights and loved it! Our room had air-conditioning, which we weren't expecting. Beds and pillows so comfortable. Everything so clean. Enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Thank you to the Staff for making our stay a really enjoyable one 😊

Excellent aparthotel, but some balconies are covered in birds droppings and no one cleans them.
