The Hotel California

The only positive about this place was the location. Years ago we booked this hotel via barter comoany wben its still clean and relxing. Now it looks like a 1 star motel No way will we stay at this property again

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air. Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light. My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim. I had to stop for the night, There she stood in the doorway. I heard the mission bell, And I was thinking to myself "This could be Heaven or this could be Hell". Then she lit up a candle And she showed me the way. There were voices down the corridor, I thought I heard them say "Welcome to the Hotel California"

Along Ocean Avenue 1-2 minutes by car from Santa Monica Pier towards Marina Del Rey (if it's not crowded) I met two local women taking photos while cycling, so I talked to them and they told me that this hotel was the model for an Eagles song, so we took a commemorative photo together. However, when I looked it up later, it turns out that the hotel wasn't the model for that famous song... I stay there on Christmas Eve. When I tried to take a shower on Christmas Day, the water was dark brown and full of sentiment, even after I let the shower run. It was unsafe to use for a shower or rinsing my mouth. The front desk gave me inconsistent information on who to talk to about this. When I finally reached Adam Turnbeaugh, he said he was on sick leave, with no specific date of return. He never called me back or gave me someone else to talk to. I wrote to David Enray who said he could not help me and couldn’t find anyone to help me. To add insult to injury although I paid 2,000 in full on December 1, I got a credit card charge for 1,000 for the deposit on December 25. When I pointed this out to Alan in accounting, he reversed the deposit charge. I wonder how often this happens. He seemed awfully casual about it and reversed the charge right away. I WOULD NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. IT IS UNSAFE AND THE ACCOUNTING PRACTICES APPEAR QUESTIONABLE.
