SCREAMING QUEENS: Screening and Panel Discussion

Drag Women / Lesbian
Tuesday, 11 August 2026 · 18:00 – 19:30 Affirmations Detroit, Detroit, United States

About the event

Join Affirmations for a free documentary screening honoring Trans History Month. Long before Stonewall became a household name, transgender women and drag queens fought back against police harassment at Compton’s Cafeteria in San Francisco, a pivotal, often overlooked moment in LGBTQ+ history.
This screening brings that story to the community, followed by a live discussion with Affirmations Executive Director Tracy Hall.
