About this place The Red Lantern

The Red Lantern is Fresno's longest-running gay bar, on East Belmont Avenue east of the Tower District, open since 1976; it marked its 50th anniversary in September 2026. It's a neighbourhood bar with a stage, a small dance floor, karaoke and a smoking patio, and the crowd includes bears and the local leather community. Central Valley Queer Line Dancing runs there free on the first Friday of the month, and leather nights come round several times a year. Listings give hours as 6pm to 2am daily. It has no website; Google rates it 4.5 from about 40 reviews.
