Kansas City Pride 2027
About This Event
Kansas City Pride happens every June. It's the city's annual LGBTQ+ celebration, drawing about 30,000 people to Penn Valley Park, just south of downtown.
The park's big, open fields mean there's plenty of space for the main stage, the vendors, and the crowd. You can actually move around without feeling crushed.
Being so close to downtown means the bar scene is right there. Think the 39th Street corridor, Westport, and The Bolt. Missie B's and other 39th Street spots throw parties all weekend. It gives Pride a full, weekend-long feel.
June also means barbecue season. Pair the festival with a trip to Joe's Kansas City or Q39. That makes for a genuinely good long weekend.
