Salem Pride in the Park

Pride in the Park is Salem's main Pride festival, run by the volunteer non-profit Salem Capital Pride in Riverfront Park on the Willamette River. It's held in September rather than June, which keeps it clear of Portland Pride: the 2025 edition was on Saturday 20 September and the 2026 edition on Saturday 19 September, 11am to 6pm. Entry is free.

Expect a stage with drag and music, community and health stalls, food trucks and a family-friendly crowd. Salem Capital Pride put the 2023 attendance at about 8,000.

In 2026 the group also added a June Pride march from the Oregon State Capitol with a downtown block party (13 June). The 2027 date had not been announced at the time of writing; the festival has fallen on the third Saturday of September in recent years, so check salemcapitalpride.org before you book.
