關於此地 Gayhane @ SO36
Gayhane (House of Halay) is a queer party at SO36, the long-running non-profit club and concert hall on Oranienstraße in Kreuzberg. The music mixes Turkish, Arabic, Greek and Balkan pop with mainstream hits, and the crowd is young and mixed: gay, trans, queer people from Berlin's Turkish and Arab communities, and their friends. Expect belly dance and drag performances.
It runs roughly once a month on a Saturday. SO36 itself hosts concerts and other parties the rest of the time, so check the SO36 calendar for the next Gayhane date.

Lagwagon really delivered. The best part: the band was close to the audience, and there was only footsteps at the entrance. I think it's great there.

Great evening yesterday at the 'dancing with tears in your eyes 80 party'. Nice atmosphere, not too stuffy. Sometimes the music is a bit too one-sidedly disco-like, but the later it gets in the evening, the better it gets. The DJ then switches to more of a new wave style.
