Last verified: October 2026 · checked against Patroc, the ARCO club network and the saunas' own sites

Rome has two men's saunas that every 2026 guide agrees on, Apollion and Adam, plus an older mixed sauna in the south-east of the city. Europa Multiclub, once the biggest, has closed. Italian gay saunas are private members' clubs, so bring photo ID: the card is issued at the door.

Apollion Sauna

Apollion, Via Mecenate 59/A, is a short walk from the Colosseum and has been open since 1994, in brick-vaulted cellars. It has a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, cabins, a darkroom and a small bar. Patroc lists it as open daily 14:00–23:00. ARCO card required. Nearest metro: Vittorio Emanuele (line A).

Adam Sauna

Adam Sauna, Via Pontremoli 28 in San Giovanni, is the bigger and busier of the two: Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, video room, cruising area, cabins, massage and a bar. Its own site says it opens from 13:00, runs late on Fridays and goes non-stop from Saturday afternoon to Sunday midnight. Entry is about €15 with towel and slippers, plus the venue's own Entes card at €10 a year. The Skyline cruise club is a few doors along.

Terme di Roma Internazionale

Terme di Roma Internazionale, Via Persio 4, is a mixed sauna: men only on Mondays and Tuesdays, women, couples and trans guests the rest of the week, and no membership card. Google still shows it as open, but it has dropped off Patroc's 2026 list and recent reviews call it dated, so phone first on +39 06 718 4378.

Closed

Europa Multiclub on Via Aureliana is listed as closed by misterb&b and appears on no 2026 list. Sauna Mediterraneo on Via Pasquale Villari is no longer operating.

Tips

    • Allow a few extra minutes on your first visit for the card paperwork.
    • Adam is the late option at weekends; Apollion closes at 23:00.
    • For cruise clubs see our Rome cruising page; for everything else, the gay Rome guide.
