About this place Apollion Sauna
Apollion at Via Mecenate 59A has been Rome's oldest continuously operating gay sauna since 1994. Its location — a three-minute walk from Gay Street and the Colosseum, within the Monti neighbourhood — makes it the most conveniently placed sauna for visitors staying in the city centre. Facilities include a hammam (steam room), dry sauna, jacuzzi/hot pool, dark room, cruising area, private cabins, bar and massage service. Entry from approximately €13 plus Arcigay membership (annual card available at the door, ~€10). ID required (18+). Free WiFi, lockers, free condoms and lubricant. Open daily 14:00–23:00.

The clientele is of mixed ages, peaking in the mid-afternoon. Massage service, always clean facility, friendly staff. The only downside is the slightly uncomfortable and cramped changing room. Open every day, including Sundays and holidays, 2pm-11pm.
