Gay Street (Via di San Giovanni in Laterano) ⚠ Unverified Own this place?

We stopped by this bar where we were forbidden to sit unless we were eating or drinking. Even ordering an orange juice and a Pepsi wasn't enough to get us a seat, even though they were among the options on the menu we were given to sit down (maybe only the first two pages counted, not the third, who knows!). I don't know if it's fair for a bar to force a tourist to eat or drink alcohol. With the temperature approaching forty and €18 spent on two coffees and two soft drinks, they certainly aren't exactly welcoming and hospitable. It's a shame, and I'd say it completely contradicts the message they're trying to convey.

We had an amazing experience at Coming Out in Rome! The food was absolutely delicious, and the focaccia was one of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I also enjoyed a Pink Spritz, which was refreshing and beautifully presented. The live music created a wonderful atmosphere, making the whole evening even more special. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, providing impeccable service from beginning to end. This is much more than just a restaurant—it offers a unique atmosphere that takes you out of the ordinary and makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
