Hotel Murcia Rincón de Pepe, Affiliated by Meliá

The experience was wonderful. It is located just a few steps from the Cathedral and the Mercado de Correos, which allows you to walk around the entire center. The room was spacious, comfortable and the reception staff very attentive. I highlight the kindness and friendliness of Enrique, who served us every morning in the breakfast area. Highly recommended for visiting the city!

Food is excellent. Last evening we experienced the Tasting Menu which is not to be missed. Each course was a surprise and a delight. The presentation was exceptional. The colours were wonderful and needless to say the taste was amazing I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This time we have taken the junior master suite to have our well-deserved rest. And of course. It is spectacular.

The hotel needs thousands spending on it it’s so run down except for the reception area which must have had money spent on it.Only one lift working the other was covered up with brown paper which someone had kicked so had a hole in the paper. Our room 519 was very old fashioned but clean. The bathroom was huge but had ants at the bottom of the shower screen there was all ant debris. The shower head was filthy and the shower tray all stained. The staff on reception were really efficient and very friendly. I would not stay here again. To be honest I found Murcia very smelly and dirty.

Excellent location. The stay, the services, the breakfast, everything was up to the standards of an excellent hotel. The restaurant is unbeatable, excellent, and highly recommended.

I am posting this review to warn you to be very careful with this hotel. Upon my departure, they told me there was a defect in the sink that I did not cause, and they charged 300 euros to the card I had provided upon check-in. I am in the process of filing a complaint. Additionally, during the stay, there were renovations, and it was not possible to be in the room during the day due to the noise. Avoid going to the hotel, and if you do, take photos of the entire room upon entering and leaving to avoid problems!!

Its location is strange and does not have the exterior presence it should. It is located in the city center, with an excellent location for dinner and a suitable breakfast. I am not familiar with the parking... I usually park in the Glorieta de España parking lot, which involves a beautiful walk around the cathedral. It is probably the most expensive hotel in the city, but it deserves it.

Hotel Room initially ok, but shower is a safety hazard it’s either cold or very hot water, no constant temperature at all. Both shower types not fit for purpose. This is a major problem that should be easily solved ? No working AC in the room, too warm even in winter. No safe in room, but advertised that there is ? No tea or coffee facility in room, Hotel restaurant is shocking. Please see restaurant reviews. Staff pleasant.

Located in the center, behind the cathedral and next to the Post Office Market. It has its own parking, although expensive: 20€/day. Although there was a problem with the room requests at first, the front desk staff knew how to react and correct it upon arrival. The room had no coffee maker or kettle, but I ordered one and it was delivered without problem. A 10 for front desk staff. And another for the lady who tends the small bar at the entrance of the restaurant. We were also invited to a reed and a small cap (incidentally, the only complaint from the staff was an older waiter and with glasses from the bar that was very edged and it on 2 occasions). The room very comfortable (except that the interior designer did not think that if he put there the closet, he did not open when gluing with the table) and a huge bathroom (too much), with a fantastic shower. Our window overlooked the street and despite being Christmas dinner night, no noise was heard. Breakfast buffet, fantastic. Very varied products (hot and cold) and quality. I'd be happy to come back.

The hotel appearance and room layout especially are first rate. Unfortunately however the whole experience of our stay was frustrating and disappointing. We arrived at 1.30 pm prior to the stated check in time of 3pm and accepted our room wouldn’t be ready, the receptionist said she would ring when ready which didn’t happen, but as we where going for lunch it was no inconvenience. We returned at 5pm to find our room was still not ready and told it would be in 5 mins, over the next 20mins other clients arrived and checked in, eventually we got our room, never any apology though. The room itself was clean, modern and well laid out, unfortunately the noise from across the road at a disco/restaurant was very loud, our room on the 2nd floor felt like we where in the bar itself. This was annoying but never did we expect it to go on until early morning, people eventually leaving at 4am, then along came the refuse truck collecting all the boxes piled high in the street. The ultimate aim for any stay is a peaceful night, plenty of sleep, me and my wife got little more than a few hours. Clearly someone else had checked in rejected the room so it had to be re cleaned, we should have done the same. Don’t stay in this hotel if your room is at the rear, it’s the worst noise ever encountered in stays all across the world, if you do bring ear plugs!
