The honest summary: Reno has no gay hotels, and we found no hotel here that is a member of IGLTA, the international LGBTQ+ travel association. What it does have is a lot of big casino resorts at fair prices. Same-sex couples are covered by Nevada's anti-discrimination law, so a booking should be routine anywhere. Pick a hotel for its location.
Downtown, by the Arch
Stay here if you want to walk to 5 Star Saloon, Steve's Bathhouse, the Riverwalk and the Northern Nevada Pride festival at Wingfield Park.
- Whitney Peak Hotel Reno, Tapestry Collection by Hilton: non-gaming and smoke-free, part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection. It is the pick if you don't want a casino floor.
- Silver Legacy Reno - A Caesars Rewards Destination, Eldorado Reno - A Caesars Rewards Destination and Circus Circus Reno - A Caesars Rewards Destination: three Caesars properties joined by skyways, central but busy and smoky on the gaming floors.
- J Resort: the renovated former Sands on Arlington Ave. It gets mixed reviews (3.6 on Google).
- Peppermill Resort Spa Casino: a large resort with a big spa, 4.4 on Google from over 23,000 reviews.
- Atlantis Casino Resort Spa: across from the convention center, with a spa. It is the furthest south.
- Grand Sierra Resort and Casino: near the airport. It hosts big shows, including RuPaul's Drag Race Werq the World on 13 March 2027, but you'll need a car for the bars.
- Nugget Casino Resort: in Sparks, about 15 minutes from the Reno bars.
South Virginia
These are close to Carl's and a 5 to 10 minute ride to the Midtown bars.

East and Sparks
Booking sites tag several of these "gay-friendly". That label is a site filter, not a certification. None of these hotels runs LGBTQ+ programming that we could confirm.
