Visitors frequently praise Le Tantra for its excellent food quality, chic and elegant atmosphere, and professional, friendly service, with some noting it as one of the best fine dining options in Algiers. I'm giving it two stars for the atmosphere because I'm so annoyed with the venue manager who almost ruined it for us! All because of a sandal issue—evening attire was required—thankfully I had a pair of sneakers lying around in the trunk, haha, it all put us off… The rest of the meal was fantastic, don't change a thing, it was excellent! 👑

Absolutely perfect! Very few restaurants are open on Friday at lunchtime, but this one is always open; you just need to make a reservation. We were three women and two young children, and we received a very warm welcome from the owner and his team. Everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert. We will definitely return on our next trip to Algiers.

Overall, this was a poor dining experience. The squid ink pasta in the seafood squid ink pasta was clearly undercooked and tasted bland. We reported this to the staff, but received no response. When we paid the bill, the cashier was not only rude but also arrogant (I'd say shameless) claiming it was their private kitchen dish and couldn't possibly be bad. Then they asked if we had made a reservation. We countered that while they could refuse us entry without a reservation, serving undercooked food was unacceptable. Furthermore, we found a piece of what looked like a plastic bag in the T-bone steak. The server explained it was from cutting frozen sauce. We bluntly told them that regardless of where the plastic came from, it shouldn't be on a customer's plate. And the way the servers looked us up and down upon entering the restaurant was very uncomfortable. Checking customers' attire is fine, but this kind of scrutiny is unacceptable. I will never come to this restaurant again. And I sincerely hope this restaurant closes down soon. (After rational consideration, I still believe that such a wish is not malicious.)
