Staying in a gay-owned/ men-only accommodation option in Cape Town was a lovely treat. It’s about half an hour from the CBD so I’d recommend hiring a car or taking Ubers everywhere. The room that I stayed in was decent and had pretty much everything you could need. The only critiques I can think of was that the WiFi in the room was weak, the bed was a bit hard and the shower was also quite weak/not always hot (likely because of water restrictions) but these are personal prefs. Also as the windows were left open before we arrived we did get bitten by things during our stay ☹️ Breakfast was nice, fresh and tasty but basic. The breakfast table can also be a bit uncomfortable being sat right next to each of the other 3 rooms if there are other guests you don’t get on with. It would also be a good idea to extend the breakfast time, especially on a weekend. Parking was fine as it was outside or on the street if there’s not enough room. The location is great for a day trip to Betty’s Bay, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek or to Cape Town itself. With all that said if I’m ever in the Cape Town area again I’d happily come back but maybe try a different room. I booked via Vrbo, they also do an honesty bar and you can pay by card at the end of your stay. Alternatively you’ve got multiple shops just down the hill for food/drinks.

A beautiful, peaceful oasis for exploring the region. You simply feel at ease. Many thanks to Detlef and Lars for the opportunity to enjoy this place.

The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We got married here 10 years ago.

We had a lovely weekend. Dietlef and Lars are perfect hosts and everything was delightful. Lovely comfortable room, great breakfast, delightful garden and excellent location (close to Cape Town but also by the sea and very close to some great Wine Estates) We will definitely be returning.
