About this place Ivan Toms Centre for Health (Health4Men)
The Ivan Toms Centre for Health is the Health4Men clinic run by the Anova Health Institute. It opened in 2009 as the first of Anova's clinics for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men. Google lists it at 1 Portswood Road in Green Point, near the V&A Waterfront, and its services include HIV testing, PrEP and STI treatment.
Google gives weekday hours of 08:00 to 16:00. US funding cuts in 2025 hit Anova's programmes, so phone +27 60 633 2512 before you go, especially if you need PrEP or PEP while travelling.

Having attended this medical facility for numerous years, I can testify to excellent and compassionate service by the treating physicians and general staff alike. Having attended this clinic, one would not seek other facilities to whom you entrust your medical care. The physicians and staff had always been friendly, professional, efficient, and helpful. This is, having been to many other clinical settings in the past, the best one available.
