I usually really enjoy going to Downunder and have been there plenty of times before, which is why this experience was so disappointing. My friend and I arrived around 8:30pm wanting to play pool and were given a buzzer to wait for a table. We were completely happy to wait and spent the time enjoying the atmosphere, listening to karaoke and hanging out. The frustrating part was that for over two hours we were repeatedly told we were “next”, yet other groups kept getting tables before us. Around 10:30–10:45pm, we finally asked again what was happening and were told that tables had been going to people who were drinking more. We had only had a couple of drinks, but it would have been nice to know that earlier instead of waiting so long thinking we were next. What upset us most was the way the situation was handled. When we raised the issue, the response felt quite rude and dismissive, and there wasn’t really any apology or attempt to resolve it. I’m not trying to completely bag the place out because I’ve had good nights here before, but this experience honestly left us feeling pretty brushed aside and frustrated.
Went here on a Bar hop. The house beer is horrible, even for the cheap cheap price, it is not worth it. The place itself is nice with a lot of pool tables, darts and a table football.
