I spent one night at the Hotel Edelweiss and one at the adjoining Club Hotel, as I wanted to extend my stay and the Hotel Edelweiss was already fully booked. I actually preferred the Club Hotel, as I had a larger room and a balcony with a mountain view. I didn't find it bothersome at all that the reception and breakfast were located exclusively in the Hotel Edelweiss – the two buildings are just a few steps away from each other. The receptionist was very friendly and even arranged for my luggage to be transferred between the two buildings. I also found the breakfast buffet to be good. Therefore, I can't really understand the negative reviews – it probably depends on one's own expectations and which room one gets.
From the outside the hotel looks like it's gone through its best years. However the rooms are renovated, comfortable and clean. The reception is in the nearby (50m) Edelweis hotel. The breakfast was decent, there was plenty to choose from.
