This is the perfect place for stealing. Even if you steal, no one reveals your name or takes any action, and they will simply tell the person who lost the item that it couldn't be helped. I left all my important things in the locker, but when I came back, the person checking in had stolen the flip-flops I was wearing while showering. However, they didn't take a single step. They just said, "Go to the police," but then added, "Even if the police come, we can't give you our names, and there's no CCTV in the room anyway." That was it. They even talked amongst themselves right in front of me while I was feeling dejected. At night, the room smelled so bad that I couldn't sleep properly, so I barely managed to sleep with my head turned to the wall. The hallway was so noisy that it was difficult without earplugs. There is only one shared restroom, and to make matters worse, the women's restroom is on only one floor, so I had to go down the stairs to use it. Thanks to this, my impression of Dublin has been left quite unpleasant.. - This place is an absolute haven for thieves. Even if someone steals your belongings, the staff won't do a single thing about it. They won't identify the thief, take any action, and will basically tell the victim, "Too bad, there's nothing we can do." I had kept all my important valuables in the locker, but I accidentally left my flip-flops (which I wore to the shower) outside for a moment, and the person checking in stole them. The staff’s response was completely useless: “Go to the police if you want, but even if they come, we can’t give you anyone’s name, and there are no CCTVs in the rooms anyway.” That was it. To make matters worse, right in front of me while I was standing there in utter disbelief, they just started chatting and laughing among themselves. At night, the room smelled so bad that I couldn't sleep properly. I barely managed to get some rest by turning my head completely toward the wall. The hallway was also incredibly noisy, so it’s impossible to sleep without earplugs. On top of that, there is only one shared bathroom. The women's bathroom is located on only one specific floor, so I had to walk down the stairs every single time I needed to use it.

Issue wasn’t with the stay, but the security there. Very rude.

We were denied check-in simply because we forgot our IDs. The staff was incredibly rude, acting as if our situation was none of their business and showing a complete lack of interest in helping us. I’ve run into this before, and other hotels were always accommodating. This place, however, is an absolute disaster. A total waste of money, leaving our family, including our 6 years old stranded outside with nowhere to go and feeling utterly helpless

booked this hostel online for myself and a group of friends, and unfortunately my experience at check-in was extremely disappointing. There was an issue with the ID I brought. Although it was a Garda ID, I was told it was not an accepted form of identification. While I understand that businesses have policies regarding ID requirements, the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. The man at the reception desk was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the entire interaction. When my friends asked where they could fill their water bottles, he simply said "no." When they asked if there was a water station available, he just pointed without offering any explanation or assistance. Also asked if there was hair dryer in the rooms he also just said no, not proving any information that there is some in the washrooms downstairs. He just horrible at his job and clearly just didn't like people. Or want to be helpful. What upset me most was that after informing me I would not be allowed to stay, despite all of my friends being checked in successfully, I was essentially left alone in the lobby with no support or guidance. As a woman in Dublin, being told I couldn't stay and potentially being left to find alternative accommodation at short notice was extremely stressful. The receptionist showed no empathy or concern for the situation and did not seem to care about the impact his decision would have. Thankfully, I later spoke with a female staff member who was kind, understanding, and genuinely tried to help. Her professionalism and willingness to assist were in complete contrast to the first employee and were the only positive aspects of an otherwise very poor experience. I understand that policies must be followed, but hospitality is about treating people with respect and offering assistance when problems arise. Unfortunately, the initial receptionist failed to do either. Other than that I think it's a great place, rooms are clean bar is nice to!

Kinda smelly and uncomfortable but otherwise chill

I stayed in room 130. Tiny. Barely enough space to move around and no AC. The staff was incredibly cold, and the place had a terrible vibe. My room was on the first floor, and the bathroom and showers were on the second. I understand that's how it is, but they could mention it at check-in. It's not easy to get around the hostel because it's huge; a little information about the facilities upon arrival would be great. Perhaps they provide it, but I didn't.

Great place, amazing staff! I had dropped off some letters addressed to France, and after weeks, I contacted the hotel who informed me that it was a fake mailbox, and that the employee would personally take care of dropping them in a real one. A huge thank you to him if he reads this message, you're welcome to visit me in France :) Otherwise, it's a fantastic place; you can do everything on foot if you don't mind walking 15km a day. A tram is less than 5 minutes away, as is a Tesco. Everything is accessible. I'll definitely be back! Thank you, take care.

Amazing place for travellers and backpackers, it has a chill vibe with in house bar and many games and activities. Every evening they conduct activities in the bar area. The property is located just near Jameson Distillery, so whiskey lovers will love it. They have a 360 degree sky view from old Jameson Distillery chimney tower which is located within the property. Stores like LIDL, Tesco are close, many restaurants in the area and Tram station is also close by. Generator Hostel rooms are clean, ample storage facility available inside the rooms, bathrooms are clean as well.
