Sunset Gay Beach (Treasure Island)

Sunset Beach sits at the southern end of Treasure Island, across the causeway from St. Petersburg, and is the Tampa Bay area's best-known gay-popular beach. The LGBTQ+ crowd gathers near the stone jetty at the southern tip. Most people park at the public lot around 8000 W Gulf Blvd and walk the beach crossovers from there. It is a social, sunbathing beach with soft Gulf sand, and it's busiest on weekend afternoons and around sunset. There are no gay-specific facilities. Parking is metered, the sun is strong year-round, and normal beach rules apply, including no nudity.
