I stayed at the Oakwood a few years ago and enjoyed my time there. Just at the northern end of the Storey Bridge are the Oakwood Apartments. Not surrounded by other hotels, it feels like a special hotel due to it's somewhat isolation even though Fortitude Valley is right around the corner. You can make your way down to Fortitude Valley to all their bars, clubs, restaurant and transport options. The Apartment themselves are presented smartly with all the modern features. A definite tick of approval

This would have to be one of the most discussed hotels I've ever stayed at, The manager is disrespectful he doesn't care the ladies at the front desk doesn't know how to operate the machines properly, but the rooms were next level disgusting the mattress were "outdated" you can feel the springs and the lounge chair had stains all over it yet they billed me $1500 for a 2 night stay! The manager said at the time of booking he would ad the car park in the price but he lied, my son who is 4 and I had to walk all the way down the road to next parking spot which it was $50 per day ,This isn't good enough!!!!!! ( You need a manager and workers who care about the people staying there)
