City Guesthouse & Tours

This guesthouse and its tour was what made our Mongolian tour so memorable. We booked the accommodation, drive from/to the airport, and, most importantly, our long Mongolia tour by email. Everything was spot on, and way cheaper than what you would get from typical tour companies. The tour we booked was so memorable and great. We discussed our tour itinerary by email, and we could modify the tours and activities, and add another day of travel. The tour was great; our tour guide, Nasaa, was very kind and helpful, and she treated us like her own children. We did so many authentic Mongolian travel activities in the sand dune, waterfalls, historical sites, doing horseback riding, camel riding, or trekking. We slept in the gehrs and ate local food. One of our members had a stomachache, and Nasaa made sure she got the right food. The accomodation itself is good too! Excellent location; every tourist spot in Ulaanbaatar, including the department store, city square, cashmere mall, museum, etc. is in walkable distance. Breakfast is served every morning, wi-fi is good, and the staff are very helpful and nice. If you are young travelers looking for awesome romantic journeys, just email this place. You won't regret it.

The location and rooms are both reasonably priced. Breakfast was provided, which was nice. I enjoyed using the shared bathroom in my room. However, it's on the fourth floor without an elevator, so you'll need to be strong. I also used the pick-up service for USD 35, and the staff were all friendly. Hairdryers are available for rent upon request.

Please, don't go to the place they are cheating people from the start they offer "cheapest" pick up from the airport for 50 USD regular taxi costs 25USD well bus with few people and good condition for 4 USD hotel writes that there are no buses lie. Also rooms are disgusting, dirty, breakfast joke 2 pancakes per person, every 2 days, bread dipped in egg other days, see the picture with breakfast menu. Tours that all describe below much cheaper than regular Getyouguide lie, we asked city guesthouse how much would cost 1 excursion they answered 100 USD per person only 1 place, when we checked ourselves via Getyouguide found the same excursion for 70 USD and included 3 extra stops to see, lunch was included, nice guide. Also we got those who wanted to ride camel, hide eagle, try Mongolian clothes and much more that accommodation did not offer. On booking it shows that rooms have their own bathrooms, a lie, you share 1 bathroom with 5-6 other rooms, you wait for the toilet for about 1 hour to get in, the woman who worked there was usually on the toilet and sat there checking her phone, when you could hear her laughing, she sat there for hours 😅 hot water ran out every other day. No cleaning, a shame. Two guys who work there asked someone if they were sleeping, they replied I'll check, and in the end they didn't come back with an answer. 🤣 Everyone who sat at breakfast was waiting for more food than toast dipped in egg, but unfortunately that was all for today. Accommodation has good ratings only because the woman who works there asks to write good comments about accommodation as it is their only livelihood, but please be honest with yourself and others. Pack your bag right away and take a hotel that costs even cheaper, we booked that place because we thought that an excursion with them would be cheaper,.but unfortunately nothing they could offer cheaper. WARNING for the accommodation, we had rooms with our own beds, accommodation is in a regular house, when you meet Mongolian people in the stairwell they are not happy that you are there. So best choose a hotel, without seeing the word "Tours" a guy I talked to, stayed there 7 days, and his room was not cleaned once, guy got a rash all over his body 🫣

I came to Mongolia without any plans and consulted about a tour in central Mongolia, and the staff were incredibly friendly. So, I went on a four-day tour with guide Gana and driver Basra, staying one night at their guesthouse. The price was reasonable, the guide was friendly, and the location was perfect. If I ever return to Mongolia, I'll definitely come back and sign up for a tour with them.

I love this guesthouse! The atmosphere here is very welcoming and warm. From the moment I arrived I felt very well cared for. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and go above and beyond to help with any inquiries. The bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. The location is perfect for walking to museums, galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly stay at an affordable price.

5 family members in a 2 bedroom apartment with 4 bunkbeds in the large closet in the back... hot no A/C 🔥🔥

Everything was fine, communication, breakfast, only 2 toilets with showers are really small for about 15 people 🤔

2023/11/10~14 The location is good. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the State Department Store and the plaza. There are CU and GS25 convenience stores nearby, as well as a local supermarket. The facilities are decent, and the staff service is excellent. The price is also very reasonable.
