Nice
Villa Viva Belgica was the absolute perfect place to unwind in Davao! We were completely exhausted after our long drive down from CDO, found this place on Agoda, and just said, "Book it, we are too tired to care." We are so glad that we did! First of all, to be clear, this is not a luxury resort—this is the place you go to to completely relax, have a beer, enjoy a great meal, and just be comfortable. We originally booked for just one night and ended up extending for a second. The first night, the place was full of expats, and the second night was filled with locals, which tells you everything you need to know. It’s the perfect spot for everyone! The Coffee: The morning coffee you can order here is absolutely delicious. Their menu is wonderful and extensive, but we got completely derailed by one sandwich. Back in the States, we'd call it a BLTA, but here it was a BTOEC—Bacon, Tomato, Onion, Egg, and Cheese. We were instantly addicted and ended up ordering it two meals in a row! We paired the sandwich with a side of spinach and loaded it up with Louisiana hot sauce (because you can never get enough vegetables in the Philippines!). They have cold beer (and all spirits) readily available—yeah us! The owner is incredible. We had some truly wonderful, deep conversations with him, and the staff are some of the sweetest Filipino ladies you will ever meet. If you are looking for a comfortable, no-frills place that hits every single necessity—strong aircon, hot water, good pillows, great food, affordable and with cold beer—we cannot recommend Villa Viva Belgica enough! A great place for foreigners
A real good place to stay, just outside of the busy stuff but close enough
Great place for a relaxing overnight with a great staff and foods available till 9pm. English widely accepted there as owner is a foreigner also. Its a time tested facility I highly recommend going to when nearby. Full kitchen and bar with all the comforts of home at your disposal.
