Back then,
some hid their worries in their pockets,
some grew up cautiously in crowds,
and some took a long time to believe that their appearance was not wrong.
However, the anxieties of the growth journey
did not end with the school bell.

In today's campuses,
there are still LGBTQ+ teenagers who remain silent for fear of being discussed,
and there are still students who worry about being ostracized or misunderstood,
longing for a place where they can be themselves with peace of mind.

And parents,
often need time to process their feelings
when they learn their child is LGBTQ+.

Many families are still learning
how to accompany each other through unease and questions,
and slowly find ways to understand each other.

Whether it's children or parents,
they need someone to catch their confusion,
and need someone to let them know:
The world will be friendlier, and the future is worth looking forward to.

And now, we have walked through lonely days,
found companions who understand ourselves, and grown the strength to face the world.

We all know
how much difference timely support and a friendly environment
can make for a person.

For 28 years, the Hotline has accompanied countless people through their growth journey,
and continues to strive for a safer and friendlier future for sexual minorities.

This year, we want to invite you who have grown up and gained strength,
to join us,
to let LGBTQ+ children know that when they are scared and hesitant, someone will provide companionship;
and to let more families believe that understanding can happen gradually, and love can draw closer again.

🏫 Online ticket sales until 2026/08/13 23:59. On-site ticket sales only on the day of the event. Sales start at 17:00 on 2026/8/15 at the event venue.

🏫 What kind of event is this?

The fundraising gala is not just for fundraising,
but also a gathering of gratitude: thanking old friends for their companionship along the way, and welcoming new friends.
With your actions supporting the Hotline, we express our gratitude to everyone this evening.

You will spend this evening in the same space as your people,
watching the queens shine dazzlingly, your heart racing for the dancers,
and there will be live performances by singers that express your inner feelings.

We have also prepared a documentary short film to show you stories that are often overlooked but always cared for by someone.

This is not just a gala, but a magical encounter. We will clap and laugh together, and sometimes wipe away tears.

This is a gathering for Taiwan's LGBTQ+ community, and an important annual event for the Hotline. We look forward to gathering with everyone, to see that we are still here,
and that we will continue to walk forward together.
