About the event

Hotline Event [Story of Time Seminar] Long-Term Care 3.0 Guide for LGBTQ+ Friends
Seminar Origin and Introduction
When should long-term care be applied for? How should I apply?
What are the changes in Long-Term Care 3.0 services, and how can they help me?
My family is unwilling to accept long-term care, what should I do?
I am alone, how do I face my own or my family's old age? Who can help me?
What will I encounter if I need care as a couple who are not married?

These are common confusions for many LGBTQ+ friends.
Taiwan will officially enter a super-aged society in 2025.
For us, everyone is starting to face the issue of caring for themselves and those around them. In the past few years, long-term care policies have been continuously adjusted, from Long-Term Care 1.0, 2.0, to the current Long-Term Care 3.0. Services and resources are increasing, but it also makes people confused about where to start. For LGBTQ+ friends, the process of caring for family members sometimes involves some different situations.

Whether you are currently a family caregiver or about to embark on this path; whether you are primarily responsible for care or share it with family members, we hope to accompany LGBTQ+ friends in gaining basic knowledge and preparation for long-term care services, so that the journey of caregiving and aging is no longer lonely.

Topic Introduction
Therefore, this time, we want to start with the most practical problems everyone encounters and introduce you to Long-Term Care 3.0. We have invited 4 long-term care professionals to help everyone understand the specific steps and potential difficulties of using long-term care resources, and also allow participants to share their experiences and support each other through the "World Café" discussion session after listening to the lecture.
This seminar will also provide materials for on-site participants for future reference, which will help in a more in-depth understanding and discussion of long-term care details.

Welcome everyone to come to the Hotline on the afternoon of September 19, 2026, at 2 PM to learn about long-term care!

By participating in this event, you can:
• Understand the brand new Long-Term Care 3.0 policy
• See what long-term care can provide us
• Understand what to do when long-term care resources are needed
• Discuss the issues and coping strategies that LGBTQ+ people may encounter in long-term care
• Get to know other past/current/future caregivers or those concerned about LGBTQ+ aging issues and support each other.
