Sign language is not just a tool for communication, but also a national language full of visual beauty and unique cultural heritage. When "gender diversity (LGBTQ+)" and "Deaf culture" gently intertwine, we can see the most colorful rainbow light in the silent world. Taiwan Tongzhi Hotline once again invites beloved and outstanding instructors to launch the 12th "2026 Rainbow Taiwan Sign Language Class"! This is not only a language course, but also a social action that breaks down the boundaries between hearing and deaf people, and practices gender equality and disability equality. Whether you want to broaden your horizons, make friends, or desire to understand the world from a more inclusive perspective, this will provide a warm, accessible, and gender-friendly inclusive learning space.
2026 Course Outline Each class is a dialogue between disability equality and gender diversity, leading you to experience the charm of visual language from shallow to deep:
1. 09/16 (Wed) 19:15-21:15 "Icebreaker Challenge: Hi! Who Am I?" Get to know each other, respect every independent individual. This class will guide you to understand the visual logic of sign language, learn your "sign name," and introduce yourself with confidence and respect, opening the first step of cross-cultural communication!
2. 09/23 (Wed) 19:15-21:15 "Number Magician: Super Practical Sign Language Numbers" Numbers have unique visual magic in the world of sign language! From 0 to 9, ten to a thousand, master the most commonly used number signs in daily life with ease in one class, making communication smooth and experiencing the convenience and fun of silent communication.
3. 09/30 (Wed) 19:15-21:15 "Diverse Colors: Special Sign Language for Gay Life" The practice of gender equality begins with language and understanding. How to vividly present the daily life and exclusive sign language of the LGBTQ+ community? This class specially prepares a "gender cheat sheet" to help you support the diverse rainbow with your hands and embrace diverse gender identities!
4. 10/07 (Wed) 19:15-21:15 "Life Hot Search: What's Trending Now?" Keep up with the times and express the world in sign language! How to transform popular life topics and current trending topics into vivid visual images? Let's chat with the most down-to-earth current affairs sign language and create new fun.
5. 10/14 (Wed) 19:15-21:15 "My Personality, My Choice!" How to accurately convey emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness through facial expressions and body language? Whether you are an energetic extrovert or a quiet and delicate introvert, in the world of sign language, every personality has equal rights to express themselves and has the most unique voice!
6. 10/21 (Wed) 19:15-21:15 "Special Topic Class" The classic lecture class is the grand finale! We will invite gender groups to share with our sign language class, and during the process, we will learn more sign language related to sex and gender, making the gender movement more vivid!
