Taiwan Tongzhi Hotline Association

The Taiwan Tongzhi (LGBTQ+) Hotline Association (台灣同志諮詢熱線協會), founded in 1998, is the oldest and largest LGBTQ+ organisation in Taiwan. From its Taipei base it runs a national counselling hotline and programmes spanning HIV support, transgender services, LGBTQ+ elder care and parent support groups, and it hosts a major annual fundraising gala. It has been a driving force in the activism that led to Taiwan becoming the first place in Asia to legalise same-sex marriage.
