Premier Hostel Chiang Mai

This was my top 1 worst experience in Thailand, and there are more than 20 reasons why I could write about it right now. If I had to pick just one, the worst, worst, worst, worst, it would be that the room smelled like a piss toilet, so I would wake up in the middle of the night... I felt sick all day and almost threw up. I don't think I would smell like that even if I slept in a public restroom. What was even worse was that when I arrived at another hotel and opened my suitcase, the fermented ammonia smell from the piss toilet followed me and made me vibrate... Oh my, the smell got all over my clothes... I'm swearing. I'm still vomiting. Ugh, ugh. Even when I shower, the water doesn't drain at all, so disgusting I thought I'd die.

I stayed in a dormitory room for two nights. It was the most spacious and comfortable of all the dorms I've stayed in. The beds were sturdy, quiet, and clean. It's nice that there are four beds in each room, and the bathroom and shower are in the room, but it's a bit of a hassle. The location is good, and there's a convenience store right next door, which is nice. There were also plenty of communal tables, which was nice for resting.

Great room. Very clean and a good size. You have your own fairly large sleeping area. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are cleaned daily.

Contrary to some negative reviews, this is a very clean and nice place to stay. The reception staff are also very friendly and speak English fluently. I stayed in a twin room on the second floor, and the bedding was super clean, and the mattress and pillows were perfect for a good night's sleep. There's no TV, but since I'm not in Chiang Mai watching TV, it's more than enough. The hot water and pressure are excellent, and there's a water purifier in the shared kitchen. Soundproofing is a bit of an issue, but I used earplugs, so it wasn't a big deal. The location itself is the biggest advantage. Chang Puak Market is a 3-minute walk away, and there's also a convenience store nearby. Thank you for providing such a great place to stay!! See you next time!

Nice facility with major design flaws. The bathroom and shower are directly next to the beds, you have to open a huge metal door and lock it physically with a key- every time. Both of these are extremely loud and will cause you to not get a good nights rest. Blinds don’t fully cover sleeping area. 300bhat key deposit is meh. The beds themselves are huge and comfortable, service was good

The accommodation was a hostel. We chose a room for four people. The beds were wide, clean, soft, and comfortable. It had an en-suite bathroom, which was very clean and convenient. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting. This hostel is inexpensive, only 329฿ per bed per night. It's located right on the moat road, making it very convenient to get around. There are restaurants, a Lotus supermarket, and a pharmacy nearby. It's in the heart of the city – perfect! Highly recommended.

I stayed in a dormitory and was worried it would be uncomfortable to be assigned to the second floor, but the bedding was comfortable and there was plenty of space in front of the bed, allowing me to open and organize my suitcase even on the second floor. The common areas were spacious and comfortable, and each room had a separate bathroom, shower, and sink, ensuring I wouldn't have to worry about overcrowding with fellow guests. The location was very convenient and close to everywhere. I wanted to extend my stay, but it was fully booked, so that wasn't possible. Luggage storage was easy, and the staff was friendly. They provided large towels and two bottles of water.
