Die Yard 32 befindet sich in der Strait Street Nummer 32, der schulterbreiten Gasse, die in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts als Vergnügungsviertel für Mittelmeerflotten wild war, voller Music Halls, Bardamen und verschwommener Grenzen. Die Wiederbelebung der Straße im letzten Jahrzehnt wurde von kleinen Bars wie dieser angeführt, und die Yard 32 trägt die Geschichte gut. Die Speisekarte basiert auf Gin: über 200 Abfüllungen, serviert mit einer Karte von vierzig Tapas, die maltesisch und spanisch sind. An vielen Abenden gibt es Live-Musik und Tische auf dem Gässchen, wo die Steinmauern die Sommerhitze abhalten und Gespräche von Tisch zu Tisch getragen werden, ob Sie sie eingeladen haben oder nicht. Die Bar vermarktet sich als schwulenfreundlich und taucht in den LGBTQ+-Reiseführern für Malta auf, und in einer Straße mit der Vergangenheit der Strait Street fühlt sich das weniger wie eine Marketingzeile und mehr wie eine Fortsetzung an. Die Öffnungszeiten sind mittwochs bis sonntags von 18:30 bis ca. 1 Uhr morgens. Kombinieren Sie sie mit Kween zwei Straßen weiter in der Merchant Street für den kompakten schwulen Kreis von Valletta.

We saw board on the main street , and came a bit before 5pm, for one round, and we stayed for a bit longer, because we really like it. The street is quiet, not busy and you can have normal conversation, which we notice is very rare in Valletta in the previous places that we visit. However, the downside was when the bar next door opened around 6pm and started to put very loud music, in that moment the music in this bar started to go up as well, and then it's started to mix, and it lost the vibe we had until that moment.

If you’re in Valletta, Yard 32 on Strait Street is a must-visit. The selection of gins (over 200!) and artisanal tonics is mind-blowing, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable—they don't just pour a drink, they craft it in massive balloon glasses with custom garnishes that perfectly complement the botanicals. Pair your drink with a few of their fresh, homemade tapas (the selection is huge), grab a table outside on the historic street, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Excellent service, vibrant energy, and easily one of the best bars in Malta. We will definitely be back!
