Y.O.L.O (You Only Live Once) es ampliamente descrito como el único bar exclusivamente gay en Creta. No se encuentra en la ciudad de Heraklion, sino a unos 25 km al este, en la localidad turística de Hersonissos (Limani Chersonisou), a un corto y fácil trayecto en taxi o autobús por la costa norte. Construido por y para la comunidad LGBTQ+, ofrece una auténtica noche gay: cócteles, música, noches temáticas y sesiones de DJ, algo que la isla de lo contrario carece, y es un punto fijo en verano para visitantes gay que se alojan en cualquier lugar entre Heraklion y Malia. Al ser estacional y estar basado en un resort, está más concurrido en los meses más cálidos; consulta con antelación fuera de temporada alta.

Don't miss this place! Great atmosphere, and Jerry (the owner) was really welcoming, friendly and always up for a chat. The music was also great, with customers able to request songs to be put on, and it was just overall a very fun and comfortable environment. You know it's good when you visit somewhere on holiday and instantly note that you should come back the next time you're in the area - you know it's great when you go back again before your holiday's even over!
