A lot of bed bugs
Easy location to get too, front desk staff are incredibly nice. I will definitely stay here again. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is the rooms are a bit older with cheap furniture. That being said they definitely are clean and well put together. No complaints, just room for slight improvement!
Positives were the price and the people who work there. They obviously care but are working with one arm tied behind their back because .. Negatives Place is worn old and smells bad. Attracts the kind of crowd that chain smokes weed right outside the front door and thinks nothing if it. Filthy rugs and bathrooms.
PROS: Hot showers, comfy bed, Good location, friendly front desk staff and maid staff, eggs and sausage were delicious. CONS: No Ice on any floor, pool was not working properly, staff working breakfast in the kitchen area was rude, pancake batter was spoiled and yogurt was warm and runny.
Very disappointing booking experience. We booked a reservation through the third-party company “Reservation Desk” for Sleep Inn Charleston – West Ashley on May 21, 2026 (booking ending in 0615). Secounds after receiving the confirmation email, we had to cancel realized that the cancellation penalties were extremely high and immediately contacted customer service to cancel the reservation. The entire process felt very misleading and stressful. During the booking call, the cancellation conditions were not made clear enough for us to understand that an immediate cancellation would still result in such a massive penalty (70+%). After we contacted customer service right away, different representatives gave conflicting information, which created even more confusion and false expectations. What made the situation even worse was the lack of direct contact information for the hotel itself. We would have really appreciated having a direct email address or phone number for hotel management instead of being forced to communicate only through a third-party reservation company. In the end, despite contacting support almost immediately after booking and never using the reservation at all, we were still told that a very large cancellation penalty would apply. This experience left us feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. Future guests should be very careful when booking through third-party reservation services like Reservation Desk and make sure to verify every cancellation detail before completing payment.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and courteous!! My wife and I enjoyed our stay.
