The place needs a lot of work. The whole time I had to climb the stairs to get to my room because the elevator was down. I stayed for over a week and they said I got two bottles of water for the whole stay and if I wanted another bottle I would have to pay for it. The wifi was so bad in the room that when I had to take video conference meetings, I had to go down to the lobby to take the meeting. The place had potential but they need to work on their infrastructure and their service.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. I booked two rooms at approximately $900 per night, per room, and at that price point I expected a comfortable, well-maintained hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite. The rooms were in very poor condition. The bathrooms were tiny, with peeling paint, cracked grout, and an overall run-down appearance. There was virtually no closet space, one room had a television that didn't work, and, most unbelievably, one of our rooms had no hot water for our stay. Paying nearly $900 a night for a room without hot water is completely unacceptable. The hotel's main elevator was also out of service, forcing guests to use the service elevator or stairwell. To use the service elevator, we had to call hotel staff every time we wanted to go up or down. If we chose to take the stairs instead, they were so narrow and crowded with guests going both directions that it was difficult to pass anyone. This was an especially concerning because my 85-year old mother was traveling with us. Requiring an elderly guest to navigate crowded, narrow stairwells or rely on a service elevator is simply unacceptable for a hotel charging luxury rates. And throughout the property, carpets were pulled up, there were large scuff marks and scratches covering walls and the hotel felt more like a construction zone than a luxury hotel. Parking was another major frustration. The parking garage is not attached to the hotel—you have to walk about five- minutes through a shopping mall just to get to your car. On top of that, the hotel does not validate parking at all. Even if you park for only 10 minutes, you're charged $40, and every entry or exit results in another parking fee. For a hotel charging luxury prices, this felt unreasonable and was never clearly communicated. When I brought these issues to the attention of hotel management, I expected them to make things right. Instead, I was offered only a 25% discount on only one room. A 25% discount on one room is simply not an adequate resolution when you're paying premium rates and receive a room without hot water, a broken television, deteriorating accommodations, inconvenient parking, and an inoperable guest elevator. Overall, this experience fell far below the standards I expect from a hotel at this price point. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone considering spending this kind of money.

My go to hotel when I need a place not in the loop and some great places to walk to. Bus stop is right out front or a quick walk to the train. Clean rooms and great staff. Was there in early July and with the lobby elevator down, you get to take the hidden worker elevator when checking in. As a hotel worker myself, I love seeing the behind the scenes stuff like that. Thanks for another great stay!

Overall good hotel. A bit jaded against it as the hotel is under construction including the main elevator being out of operation. Hotel staff was great and was willing to take customers up the service elevator. Beyond that all staff were very friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with. Largest problem is the partnered and recommended parking garage is very bad. Primary concern is receipt dispenser is broken; when help is called, they direct you to call a number that routes you to a full voicemail. Additionally the garage is poorly maintained and an inconvenient design. Would be fine to recommend the hotel but would strongly advise against using the recommended parking garage.

The front desk staff is absolutely lovely despite multi-tasking. The fitness center is nice and the onsite restaurant was solid. The rooms however leave much to be desired. The AC did not work on the 4th floor and the 1 double bed was so uncomfortable it felt like a pull out sofa. The rooms are tiny and so is the bathroom. Counter space is also sparse in the bathroom. The location is pretty great even if the parking is a short walk offsite. The front desk staff handled our issues at the hotel with grace and were very helpful!

Start with the good. It is close to a Trader Joe's. That's it. The hotel is not ready for guests, and probably won't be for a long while. The ONE elevator, yes, only one single elevator in the whole hotel, was out and will be. The snotty front desk girl with a very forced smile said, "it IS stated on the website that the elevator is closed" to my comment of "you should let people know that before they book". Uh, no it is NOT listed on your website. The only item listed is that the hotel is under renovations. There is one stairwell that only fits one way traffic or you get to really know your stair mates walking in the opposite direction. This used to be a Days Inn and you could tell. No vanity in the bathroom and it is smaller than small. Doors, walls, and floors look like they have seen a lot of action and wear, kinda looked like my apartment in college, not a compliment. They give you plastic cups in your room that are from a sleeve of cups, not wrapped for sanitation. Literally individual cloudy white plastic cups. Very disappointed over all, plus it was not cheap. Needless to say, we won't be back. This was the second Hilton hotel we stayed in on our trip to Chicago and all I can say is Hilton is not what it used to be. We are Hilton travelers with their credit card and all, re thinking that.

Great location in Lincoln park neighborhood. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Hotel touts itself as being quirky, which it is on the main level, that has been updated. Nice and new gym also on the main level. The problem is the rooms are old, worn and outdated. Bed claimed to be a queen but was a full (even the front desk steadfastly asserted it was a queen). Air conditioner is old and gave the room a musty smell. In fairness, the room was clean. However, we had to ask for more towels for the two of us. Frankly, I am surprised this place is a Hilton property. The price was way too high for the lack of room quality. I would and will not stay here again.
