Great place to stay. Clean rooms and comfortable.

We stayed here on our way to Chicago for the evening. I booked the Ingersoll suite which included a king sized bed, lovely private patio and beautiful bed linens and towels. The rooms were broken up in a private house with a gorgeous foyer. Everything from the lighting in the main room to the fixtures in the bathroom felt like a luxury hotel you’d find in any big city. I couldn’t have been happier with the choice! It was a very easy drive to the city. This place is a true Gem! Also worth mentioning that it was a block away from boutiques and coffee spots for us the next morning. Highly recommend, if you find it you’re the lucky one 🍀

Booked a stay here in march and everything was perfect. Owners have made the inn a quiet, peaceful stay. Could not have asked for more on my vacation. Plus walking around downtown Plainfield was a joy.

The Plainfield Inn was the perfect place for my daughters wedding weekend stay, and we could not have been happier with our experience. We reserved the entire south building for the brides bridal party, and it was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were stunning, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with every accommodation we could have needed. A special thank you to Justin, the owner, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and made everything so easy for us. His hospitality truly stood out and helped make the weekend even more enjoyable. Our friends were so impressed that many said they would love to come back and stay again just to enjoy the charm of the Inn and spend time exploring the downtown Plainfield area. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with exceptional service, The Plainfield Inn is a wonderful choice. We highly recommend it!

The Inn is wonderful place to stay. Rooms are very clean and spacious, a great location for walking to most anything you want. The proprietor is a great guy, very helpful and accommodating with all of your needs. A truly great place.

This is the second time I have stayed here and I love it! Perfect location. Host is awesome. The room is great and bed is comfy. This is the only place I will stay when traveling to this area!! I have eaten at the Soverign twice as well. The food is scrumptious. Can't wait to come back!

Room was very clean and the bed was super comfy! The manager was very helpful and made sure I had access to my room after arriving after midnight.

The only positives are location and cleanliness of room. 1st thing we were met with was the sound of a vicious dog. Actually was preparing to defend myself until I realized the dog was in the office and banging and scratching at the door. Really scary. The same dog woke us up several times through the night with its barking. The stairs are killers. Old, narrow, and steep. That alone will keep me from returning. The room itself was extremely uncomfortable as it had one office type chair to sit in. No other seating. Lighting is terrible. No lamps, just a few dim overheads. If you wanted to read, you had to sit in bathroom where the best light was. Trying to watch tv was a joke. You had to follow a list of instructions to get it to work. What ever happened to simple. All in all, a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay. Will not be returning.

The location is excellent, just steps from downtown Plainfield and about 40 minutes from Chicago's airport, with convenient and easily accessible parking. Our room, the Myers Suite, was spacious, equipped with all the comforts, and reasonably clean. The use of the well-equipped shared kitchen was appreciated. Check-in was remote, and the information provided for accessing the property was clear and detailed. The room temperature is centrally controlled and not individually adjustable, but if necessary, simply contact the staff, who will promptly adjust the temperature to your needs. The only area that could be improved is the upkeep of the room's outdoor patio, which, while very nice, doesn't seem to be kept to the same standard as the rest of the property.

Really cute historic home that has been renovated. Super clean and decor is welcoming. Very comfortable beds!!!
