About the venue

The Brass Rail

The Brass Rail is a gay bar on Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest, generally cited as the oldest gay bar in San Diego, dating from the 1950s. It's a mixed dance bar rather than a quiet lounge, and over the years it has been known for Latin and themed nights…

“OMG. First time there and I had a Blast. Everyone was kind. Met new great peeps. Will so again. Felt like a kid in a Candy Store with the go go dancers lol ❤️” — Ceciah Munoz, Google

“There isn’t food here unfortunately, but the bar staff is great and the drag shows are AAMAAZZIIINNGGG!!! I love going to Freaky Feud and Puta Lucha!” — H T, Google
