Eagle Bar Vienna

If you’ve been to an Eagle in the UK, you’ll have a fair idea of what to expect here. Head downstairs and you’re in the darker depths—moody and lively. Both times I went it was busy, with a DJ spinning on the weekend and things really picking up around 10:30pm. Opinions seem mixed about the place, but I only came away with good memories.

The place is good, good music and atmosphere but I had a security problem at 10 pm. I'm a foreigner and I was robbed. I identified the thief, I spoke to the people in charge to take action and they did nothing so I left. Good place but the right thing to do was to have done something, including getting threatened by the guy who robbed me.

The 2 barmans from Munich, if I'm not mistaken Stefan & Werner used to be very nice to me!😁 My favourite gay bar in Europe so far!

Fun, lively bar and active backroom. Seems to peak out from 10pm on wards. Free entry with a drink of some kind. No clothes check or lockers so common sense personal security in the un-lighted areas.

Eagle Bar is excellent for socializing as well as cruising. The bar: The aesthetics are very classic, with everything made of wood. The space is designed to encourage people to communicate and socialize, creating a very relaxed atmosphere. The music is always great, especially for those who love to dance. The staff are always very friendly, accommodating, and they remember regular guests. The drink prices are typical for Vienna and other European capitals. The guests are mostly mature men (35+), and it's rare to see younger people (under 25). Cruising area: There are several sections, including a few separate rooms. One large room in the cruising area can accommodate a lot of people. The only (possible) downside is that this largest room is extremely dark, which can make it challenging to see who you want to have fun with. I would suggest adding a bit more lighting to this space, just a little, to make mingling more comfortable.
