Van der Valk Hotel Charleroi Airport

It's hard to find better than the Van der Valk chain... and the one in Charleroi is a real pleasure, even if you're just having a drink or attending a conference or banquet. It's beautiful, clean, lively, easily accessible, etc... It deserves a 5-star rating from me, but today I'm deducting one star because I've repeatedly found the reception staff rather cold and unfriendly.

Thank you for the pleasant stay! It was a pleasure to use your services after our flight was overbooked with 9 people! Kudos to Ryanair for the solution!

Deogracias the server was amazing, I highly recommend him to everyone! Great atmosphere and incredibly kind!

No accommodation, just dining. A cozy atmosphere with a touch of luxury, and a professional and delightful staff. On sunny days, you can dine on the terrace. Expect to spend around €250 for four people (aperitif, main course, coffee, and drinks), but it's well worth it: quantity and quality are evident in every dish, whether it's fish, meat, or pasta. Special mention goes to the tagliatelle served in a parmesan wheel: prepared fresh right at your table, a bit of a show that really whets your appetite.

The only downside is the rather dramatic price increases on certain products; for example, a salad will cost €3 in 2025, the same salad €6 in 2026, and a Veuve Cliccotton beer €90 in 2025, the same beer €105 in 2026. This has nothing to do with inflation!

Location is good. I had no room as i was at a business academy of pm international here. We wanted some snacks we sure git them. But we were told it comes in 2 ratios but only got one. Once we finished our drinks no one really came to see if anyone needed a drink. Also there came drinks we didn't order and those we ordered were missing. At the payment they even mixed the orders with other orders. I would based on my experience of service, not recommend to eat and drink here. Personal stayed friendly when they were told what was wrong which is atleast positive. But still my experience was mostly negative so sorry i am.

Rooms are nice, location around is really not nice. Value for money could be improved.
