Hotel Maksimilian

I was a guest for two days at the beautiful little hotel Maksimilijan in the center of Osijek. I have never experienced such kindness of staff in any hotel, even though I travel a lot. From the welcome drink to the small bar where you can have a drink....A beautiful garden that is maintained with love makes the stay even more pleasant. All praise! I hope to see you again. We stayed at Hotel Maksimilian for a handful of nights when first moving to Osijek from Florida. The hotel is precious! The property, accommodations, and amenities were spectacular. But what makes this place special are the people that own it and work there. Yasmina and Vladimir were so kind to us. The staff: Dora, Gordana, and Filip took great care of us and made us feel so welcome to Croatia. We had many questions about the city, the people, their customs, food, and all of the things. We appreciated the time they took to explain things to us and their enthusiasm when talking about their homeland. We definitely recommend this beautiful gem in the middle of the historic fort.

Maksimilian is a beautiful boutique hotel that perfectly combines the old and the new. Centered in the old town of Osijek, it offeres an oportunity to see everything this town has to offer first hand. It is a modern display of an old slavonian house, or better said homestead, which has been arranged like a modern hotel. The rooms are clean, cozy and nice. The breakfast spread is rich in dishes and very tasteful. The staff is beyond friendly and they have a real human touch. If you need an information or maybe rakija, they are here for you. In Maksimilian you feel at home and I will come back.
