About this place Susansousa

Susansousa is a gay bar and club located in Golčův Jeníkov, a smaller town in the Czech Republic. For LGBTQ+ travelers exploring beyond Prague's main gay scene, this venue offers a local alternative where you can connect with the community in a more intimate setting. The welcoming atmosphere reflects the tagline 'That's where I live!' — suggesting this is a genuine neighborhood spot rather than a tourist-focused establishment. Visiting gay bars and clubs in smaller Czech towns can be a rewarding experience if you're looking for authentic local encounters and a more relaxed pace than you might find in larger cities. These venues typically serve as important social hubs for LGBTQ+ residents and offer a chance to experience how the community gathers and celebrates in everyday settings. The venue is situated on Husova street in Golčův Jeníkov. Whether you're passing through the region or seeking out local gay-friendly spaces, this bar provides a place to meet locals and enjoy the Czech hospitality. As with any venue in a smaller town, it's worth checking ahead for current opening hours and any special events, as schedules may vary seasonally.

A beautiful synagogue restored to its original splendor in 1995. A wooden building stood here as early as 1659, but it burned down repeatedly and in 1873 a new synagogue was built in oriental style. The Jewish quarter is located around it.
