Young director Kris (Hannah Einbinder) is tasked with reviving the defunct horror series “Camp Miasma” for a new generation of viewers. She goes to the location of the original summer camp for inspiration. There, living in seclusion, is Billy Presley (Gillian Anderson), the star of the original series. The professional fascination and creative obsession of the two women gradually turn into electrifying attraction and an intense relationship. As the boundaries between reality, film, and dream blur, an ancient evil awakens at the bottom of the lake. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Queer Palm.
