About the event

Tickets are all-inclusive, covering both the live performance and the curated selection of drinks we will be tasting. Translating whisky into live piano poems What does the warmth of a rich, aged single malt sound like? How does a smoky finish or a burst of tropical spice translate onto the piano keys? You are invited to an intimate evening where a traditional whisky tasting meets live music storytelling. Forget academic lectures on distillation, alcohol percentages, and oak barrels—on this night, we will taste with our ears and listen with our palates. Composer and pianist Arashk Azizi will take you on an atmospheric journey through a carefully curated collection of exceptional whiskies, blending a rich palette of taste and sound. The music is a living dialogue: partially pre-composed to match the deep character and intensity of each expression, and partially improvised live, shaped by the immediate energy of the room and the lingering warmth of the pour. How it works: The Pour: You get a glass from our curated selection of fine whiskies. The Introduction: Arashk gives a brief, casual introduction to the "story" and vibe of that specific bottle. The Tasting & Music: You take a sip, sit back, and keep savoring the drink while Arashk translates the complex flavors into a 7-to-10-minute live piano poem right in front of you. We will repeat this process for four different whiskies, turning the tasting into a deep, fluid musical journey. Step into a room where flavor becomes a narrative and music becomes a physical sensation. Let the whisky warm your palate, and let the piano poem open your imagination. #tallinnfringe2026
