Tallinn Bearty

Tallinn Bearty is Estonia's bear festival, a spring weekend that began in 2013 when Alvar Ameljuhsenko and Alex Gratch of the St Petersburg Bear Club turned a local idea into a gathering of bear clubs from around the Baltic Sea. It runs as a non-profit, and each year centres on one art form, in a rotation that includes visual arts, music and film.

A weekend usually has a pool-party meet-and-greet, a cultural event, late nights in the bars and a Sunday brunch. In 2026 the focus was music, with a concert in the Valge Saal of the House of the Blackheads.

The 2026 weekend went ahead, but we couldn't confirm its exact dates. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
