About this place FVTVR

FVTVR is a club in the Cité de la Mode et du Design building on Quai d'Austerlitz in the 13th arrondissement, a riverside complex that also holds other clubs and rooftop bars. It hosts underground techno and electronic nights in an industrial-style space. It is listed here as an LGBTQ venue, but it is better described as a mixed techno club that hosts some queer-promoted parties. The 2.4 Google rating from about 500 reviews mostly reflects complaints about the door and staff. Check the night's promoter and lineup before going, and if you want a gay crowd, pick a night run by a queer collective.

Great lineup and a pretty good sound system. The venue is nice. Big set of features! As for the club's reception and the crowd, it's disastrous. No mediation, no prevention, unpleasant security guards, far from the friendly atmosphere of a techno party... Packed with Gormitis in front of the stage and zero screening at the entrance... If you're a fan of good music, steer clear.

The physiotherapists are lovely, special mention for Sabry and Rivolie.

Everyone has their own hearing sensitivity, but I'm now in my third month (edit: 13th month) of non-stop tinnitus despite the earplugs I was wearing.

I've rarely seen a club with such a disparity between the quality of its programming and the mediocrity of the experience it offered. The welcome was friendly, the music excellent, and the sound system truly promising. Unfortunately, you still had to manage to enjoy all of that in the middle of a completely overcrowded room, where you spent more time being jostled than dancing. The room seemed completely unventilated: suffocating heat, unbearable humidity, and hundreds of people drenched in sweat, crammed together. It was no longer a club atmosphere, but a collective baking experience. The behavior of some of the crowd didn't help matters: constant pushing and shoving, no consideration for others, and people forcing their way in line at the bar. I waited fifteen minutes to buy two small bottles of water at €5 each, in a place where the heat made access to water absolutely essential. It's all the more frustrating because, musically, the evening was truly excellent. FVTVR has the artists, the sound, and the potential to be a top-notch venue. But as long as the audience is treated like a mass to be herded together, made to sweat, and charged, it will remain a great lineup trapped in a dreadful experience.

Awesome club, great sound and cool layout but it is literally not possible to breathe on the dance floor. At least they should have multiple fans if not air conditioning. Overall disappointing…
