About this place Le Velvet Bar
Le Velvet Bar is a gay cocktail bar spread over two floors at 43 Rue Saint-Honore in the 1st arrondissement, a short walk from Les Halles and the western edge of the Marais. It runs a daily happy hour and themed evenings from Tuesday to Saturday, drawing a relaxed, mixed-age gay crowd for pre-club drinks away from the busier Marais terraces.

Excellent original cocktails at very affordable prices and real creations, very friendly service, but the decor is quite ordinary, even kitschy, and the soundtrack is of questionable taste at a very high volume. The appetizer platters offered really don't look appetizing (we didn't order any)
