CHALET-AUBERGE les Mélézes

The hotel is particularly well located, with the shuttle bus just a few meters away that takes you to the slopes in about ten minutes. The service is good, and the welcome is equally warm. The lounge area is pleasant with its decor, pool table, board games, fireplace, etc. However, there's a slight drawback regarding the rooms. The bathroom is really basic and small for a room for four people, and especially the insulation and soundproofing! Oh dear! Luckily, the fabric curtains did their job of covering the windows because the wind was quite audible and noticeable. The air in the room was also very dry. But despite this, a great stay!

No heating in the bathroom in the middle of winter, a sink the size of a hand basin.

I thank the entire team for their warm welcome. The best value for money in Tignes. I received a very warm welcome from the moment I arrived. The kitchen staff are very attentive. A special mention for their homemade desserts for those who want to end their meal on a sweet note – a real treat! See you soon!

Warning to the reader: Be aware that the website does not accurately reflect the rooms. In our experience, the rooms are not renovated and are very different from what Booking.com presents when you book. The comfort is very basic and there is no soundproofing between the rooms. On the other hand, the staff is very approachable and friendly, and the chalet is well located for accessing the ski slopes. In short, the value for money is questionable, but above all, the website is misleading.

Two-night stay with my daughters for skiing: excellent welcome, helpful and very friendly staff, perfect location (ski-in/ski-out access), very complete and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.

We stayed at Auberge Les Mélèzes last night with our two children and slept wonderfully. We were very satisfied. The family room was simple, but perfect for us. We were able to check in late (after midnight). The breakfast was simple, but otherwise completely to our liking. We would highly recommend it.

The place is very friendly and run by incredibly positive people. The rooms are okay, the breakfast is more than okay, and the service is great. If you don't have a car, be prepared for a short walk to the hotel from the Tignes 1800 bus stop. Overall, I highly recommend it! 👍

We spent one night here at the "hotel." Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment! When we entered the room, it looked as if someone had just been there. The beds were only sparsely made, and the sheet/duvet was completely crumpled. The bedding was dirty! Lots of grime and a few black hairs... Plus, a black stain. Only God knows, and wants to know, what that is. I really wonder if the cleaning crew comes every month or only once a year... The hotel itself resembles a construction site (the room didn't look like the pictures). There was only one electrical outlet in the bathroom, and nowhere else. The bathroom had a very peculiar smell. The good reviews are baffling to me and are surely bought. The parking spaces in front of the hotel were all reserved with signs, but not for hotel guests. We were directed to the paid parking lot at the end of the street (which surely belongs to the owner). When we asked if we could park behind the obviously rarely used snowmobile until 6:30 a.m., the owner said they would need it before then. Miraculously, they didn't need it until the next day. In conclusion, this accommodation is not recommended! Or as Berset said: Stay home!

For the second year in a row, our stay at Les Mélézes with a hiking group I lead was absolutely wonderful! As always, Guillaume took excellent care of everyone. Unfortunately for him, he was once again managing everything at the hotel on his own, but he is an exceptional hotelier and a truly divine cook. Mr. Owner, please consider providing Guillaume with some support staff; he deserves it given his professionalism and dedication to his guests. I will, of course, be returning next year with my hiking group.

A huge congratulations to Guillaume! This young man was managing an entire hotel on his own, including evening meals and half-board. He always had a smile and provided excellent service. Unfortunately, he won't be able to manage alone for long, so Mr. Owner, don't take advantage of such a gem; help him by hiring at least one full-time employee.

I really liked it, but I arrived by bike and only stayed one night. Beautiful view and spacious, clean room. Very quiet, but the season had just begun.
