European Snow Pride Tignes
About This Event
European Snow Pride is a week-long gay ski week in Tignes, in the French Alps, based in Val Claret, the resort's highest village. The organiser, Olivier, set up the current event in 2012 after years running gay ski weeks; the event's FAQ dates gay ski weeks in Tignes back to 2008. It now runs as "European Snow Pride Powered by SCRUFF" and calls itself Europe's biggest gay ski week. Misterb&b, repeating the organiser's figures, reported more than 1,200 guests from over 30 countries in 2026; there is no independent count.
The week uses resort venues rather than gay bars: DJ parties at Tignespace, a pool party at Le Lagon aquatic centre, après-ski at the Chalet du Bollin, plus cabaret dinners, the "Snow Gaymes" team contest and group ski lessons. Tignes Pride, a Pride parade on skis behind snowcats led by the mayor and first held in 2015, takes place during the week. You need an Event Pass; lift passes, lessons and equipment hire are extras. Partner hotels and residences in Val Claret sell out first.
It ran 15–22 March 2025 and 21–28 March 2026. The 2027 edition is announced for 20–27 March 2027. Don't confuse it with European Gay Ski Week, which is now held in Val Thorens the week before.
