Linus Giese in Bremen!

For a two-day writing workshop aimed at young people between the ages of 15 and 19, Linus Giese will be in Bremen in September at the invitation of Literaturhaus Bremen as part of queer.lit! at the Weserburg.
Using various writing exercises, we will explore what 'queer' means and can mean, transforming our experiences, feelings, and ideas into texts.

No prior knowledge is required, just the desire to write!
Snacks and drinks will be provided.

The two-day writing workshop will take place in the Weserburg library (and in the exhibition rooms).
With time and peace to write, there will also be the opportunity to draw inspiration from the location itself – from the works in the collection exhibition "As We Are" to Murat Önens "Moving Pile under the Blue Sky" (2022) to Zoe Leonard's queer political manifesto: "I want a president" (1992).

Linus Giese (he/him) writes about change and shapes with sound what words cannot say. In 2020, his first book "Ich bin Linus" was published by Rowohlt Verlag, about his coming out and life as a trans* man. He lives in Berlin, is working on a new book, and is training to be an art therapist.

In 2024, queer.lit!, the reading series with a queer focus by Literaturhaus Bremen, was revived.
