This workshop is aimed at everyone who wants to try both: writing and drawing. We want to be inspired by the drawings made on-site for writing, and for drawing from texts that have just been written – and then we'll see if and how they might fit together. Everyone who enjoys experimenting and working together is welcome. No prior knowledge is necessary for participation!
Additionally, there is the opportunity to draw inspiration from the Weserburg itself – from the works in the collection exhibition "As We Are" to Murat Önens "Moving Pile under the Blue Sky" (2022) to Zoe Leonard's queer political manifesto: "I want a president" (1992).
Furthermore, there are the four open dates for "Queer Writing: Against the Norm!" with the Bremen author Jutta Reichelt (March 29, June 7, 2026, August 23, 2026, and October 25, 2026, each from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
Lee Doubleu draws, paints, and writes in Bremen. Lee voluntarily leads a monthly drawing group as part of a team. Their own artistic work currently focuses on sketches, illustrations, and watercolors. After a first solo exhibition last year, Lee's artworks are being shown this year in a group exhibition on the theme of gender and identity.
