Athens Pride 2027

Athens Pride, Greece's national LGBTQ+ celebration, happens every June in the ancient capital. The parade winds through Syntagma Square. Up on the Acropolis, the Parthenon looks down on it all, making for one of the most striking backdrops you'll find at any Pride.

It's gotten big, too. Tens of thousands now come to the city's main square and the festival village at the National Gardens. Greece legalized same-sex civil partnerships in 2015. Then, after years of pushing, same-sex marriage passed in 2024. That makes Athens Pride 2026 one of the first big celebrations of marriage equality in Greece.
