A lovely little family-run hotel that we highly recommend. Most of the rooms are newly renovated and modern (keep this in mind when booking and don't opt ​​for a standard room). There's also a small pool, and the beach and most restaurants and shops are about a 10-minute walk away.

3 stars... maybe 2! The hotel looks nice from the outside. We had a room in the main building, on the left as you enter. No breeze whatsoever. Even in the reception area, it was stiflingly hot. And in the room, forget about it. I had to use the air conditioning just to get some relief. €8 per day. The room was very outdated; the walls were painted, but the ceiling was in terrible condition. The bathroom fixtures were rotten. The safe cost €2 per day. Nice pool (at least one positive point). We left a day early and had no regrets. Quite disappointed by what the photos on the website and Google show.

What a fantastic hotel! We arrived late at night and were still given a warm and incredibly friendly welcome by the night porter. We were immediately impressed upon entering our Junior Suite – the room is modern, tastefully furnished, and instantly inviting. The ceiling fan provided a pleasant cooling effect at night and was perfectly adequate for us. Those who prefer it even cooler can also use the air conditioning. We were particularly impressed by the absolute peace and quiet – the rooms are exceptionally soundproofed. Breakfast was a real highlight every morning: varied, extensive, and with daily changing offerings, so it never got monotonous. Our favorite spot was the beautiful pool area with its pool bar. The always cheerful and incredibly friendly bartender made every visit feel like a little vacation moment. We would also like to give special mention to the owner, Maria. She was personally present at the hotel every day, taking time for her guests and inquiring about their well-being – a level of dedication that is rare these days. Breakfast was a real highlight every morning: varied, extensive, and with daily changing offerings, so it never got boring. We would also like to give special mention to the owner, Maria. I'm very happy with my choice of hotel. The pool is quite large in the garden, where oranges and lemons grow, and there's never a shortage of sun loungers. The room is spacious and cleaned daily, and the bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom is new and adequate, with a well-functioning hairdryer. The balcony is large and has a table and chairs. The hotel grounds are well-maintained and offer mountain views. Breakfast is good, and the beach is a nine-minute walk away. But what I most enjoyed was the hotel's quiet and intimate atmosphere, which was perfect for relaxation. Dagmara at the pool bar does a great job of creating a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. I recommend this hotel because we had a wonderful time there, and we'd love to return.

Really lovely, very family-run, good and very friendly service, the rooms are clean, modern and cozy... the owner Maria, a very friendly and warm woman, has everything well under control, beautiful pool area and the center of Matala (and the beach) is easily reachable in 8 to 10 minutes on foot...

We're currently spending our vacation here and would especially like to commend our host. After reading some reviews, we were honestly surprised, as our experience has been completely different. Maria is an incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful host who takes great care of her guests. Unfortunately, directness is sometimes mistaken for rudeness. We found Maria to be an authentic, honest, and respectful person who always has a listening ear and is happy to help when needed. Perhaps it's also important to remember that behind every hotel and every review are people. Words can hurt and have an impact on people who give their best every day and invest a lot of heart and soul into their work. Based on our experience so far, the negative comments about Maria are simply incomprehensible. We feel very comfortable here and are enjoying our stay. I booked a room as a regular guest. I arrived today and only got two rooms instead of three! If they're only focused on profit, it's no fun here. This will definitely be the last time I book a room here. I was just here for 14 days in May 2026! And now this! Unbelievable!

We are currently staying at Elea Terra and have 6 nights left, but our first impression is excellent. We were received very hospitably and feel truly welcome here. The room is nice and the bed is fantastic – we have already slept wonderfully for several nights. The service is good, the people are incredibly friendly, and the location is perfect for us. So far, everything is excellent and we look forward to the rest of our stay!

We stayed at the Elea Terra Hotel for a week in a junior suite. The room was cleaned daily, the beds were fresh, the refrigerator and fan were working, and a safe and air conditioning were available for an extra charge, not included. The only downside to the room was the lack of ventilation, as there was no window, only the door. The pool was lovely, with plenty of sun loungers and a nice pool bar. The service was excellent; check-in and check-out were incredibly quick and easy. The breakfast buffet was also good, with a great selection for us as vegetarians. Matala and the beach are within a 6-10 minute walk of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
